Common Skin and Reconstructive Procedures

Join us for a day of learning skin and reconstructive procedures! In this course participants will gain hands-on experience performing a variety of skin and reconstructive surgical procedures on canine and feline cadavers including anal sacculectomy, digit/tail/limb amputation, canine and feline mastectomy, readily performed skin flaps and skin grafting. The course will have short lectures followed by ample laboratory time to perform surgical procedures.
Meet your speaker: Dr. Singh graduated from veterinary school at the Atlantic Veterinary College in Prince Edward Island, Canada in 2006 and subsequently completed a small animal internship and surgical residency at the Ontario Veterinary College (OVC), University of Guelph in 2010. He has remained at the OVC as a small animal surgeon and faculty member. He is currently a Full Professor of Small Animal Surgery in the Department of Clinical Studies, the University of Guelph. He is a past- president of the Veterinary Endoscopy Society and an American College of Veterinary Surgery Founding Fellow of Minimally Invasive Surgery. Dr Singh has provided training laboratories and lectured throughout North America, Europe and Asia. His research interests focus on developing and advancing minimally invasive surgery in small animals.
