This course will cover the importance of using capnography for all anesthetized patients. The anatomy and physiology involved with respiration and ventilation will be reviewed in detail, along with how capnography can give an indirect assessment of ventilation, cellular metabolism, and perfusion. Effects of anesthetic agents on quality and effectiveness of ventilation of our patients will be reviewed in detail. Effective usage and understanding of monitoring equipment used for measuring capnography will be covered. We will discuss equipment troubleshooting and capnograph waveform interpretation.

Certificate will be provided for 1 hour of CE
