Rochester Carmalt Forceps are a standard type of curved hemostatic forcep or clamp used to slow or stop blood flow and tissue before ligation, usually in a deeper wound or heavier tissue. The curved jaws reduced the chance of hurting the surrounding tissues and blood vessels.
